“Those guys aren't going to quit,” I whined. I sat down on the couch. “They even went around asking my high school classmates about me. They talked about my sex life and if I acted like a bitch. I feel like a criminal they’re trying to profile. Like it’s a crime for a girl like me to get the part. At least they’ll never think we have a relationship.”
“Forget about them,” he said, joining me on the couch. He leaned his face close to mine. “Think of me.”
He sensed my passion. Yet, I turned my head away. “What did you want to discuss?”
“Business can wait,” he said, his voice growing husky. His lips were so close to mine. “We cannot.”
He pressed his lips against my own. His hand gripped my breast. The other hand grasped the flesh of my large, wide hips. My defenses breached, I matched his vigor with my own. My worries melted away like snow in the winter sun. Only the passion I had for Patrice remained. I kissed back and sampled his bittersweet taste. I felt like a kitten lapping up buttermilk. We would break apart for a second to only attack each other with renewed intensity. The movie and all of its controversies seemed like they existed a lifetime ago.
